Why statistics and their interpretation matter

This article discusses how some of the recent Pew research on sexuality is being misinterpreted. We would like to add, that the cited Pew research doesn’t include information on what percentage of people who identify as bisexual are in committed relationships.

While some might want to run the other way when statistics are mentioned, they are important when it comes to responding to people who claim that they read somewhere something that said…’84% of bisexuals are hiding behind heterosexual privilege’ (to pick up on the particular statistic that is discussed in the linked piece).
